Cine a început Primul Război Mondial: Crash Course World History 210

Can't believe this is 8 years old. The 'why are you here again, Putin?' joke is proving timeless.

  2. I love the objectivity of Crash Course World History. So often we are instructed to use past wars and battles as a reference and it is always presented as who caused what but it is always framed the way that our governments want us to view it. Russia is never given credit for its contribution to the allies in the second world war. The middle east is always treated as if it is a totally backward nation that needs saving by the western powers when in fact it has produced some of the best and most forward-thinking developments we have. And then the constant affirmation that the evil that we (western nations) wrought on other nations is justified but is somehow an unacceptable action when it is our competitor doing it. As with the US and China. Well done Crash Course. I wish the episodes were longer so you could talk a little slower.

“We had a world war, *russia*.” Said with all the energy of a dad scolding a naughty child
